’tis the season to pumpkinate

Any of my (American) readers have carved a pumpkin yet?

I think that no matter the age, or culture, this a fun experience. My SO and I carved some pumpkins the other night and it was an awesome bonding  moment. Highly recommend it! 🙂

PS: After an incredibly busy October, I think I’m back on track with my notecards. Stay tuned for more!

as always,

Love & Namaste,

Mixmaster Dreams of Texas

There’s grandeur.

There’s opulence.

And then there’s Texan highways.

These majestic structures struggle heavily under the crisp blue sky that so often sighs in awe.

Yield to the right of way of  these immense pillars of concrete.

Yield,

and

Bow.

____

Texan highways have a funny thing about them…they terrify me and also leave me in absolute awe at the same time.

I feel so small riding under the huge mixmasters, and I feel so grand when I am at the very top.

Love always & Namaste,

Volta

Become the Warrior

Become the Warrior you’ve always had within yourself.

Believe in your energy – those thousands of blinding suns that shine perpetually – they will guide you.

Step.

By.

Step.

Your shine is contagious. Believe in it.

Let it go.

Autumn is upon us.

Learn from the trees that let go.

Let go of  worries.

Let go of past grudges.

Let go of your fears.

Embrace, Learn and Let Go.

Release it all to the northern winds, like rustled bodies abandoning the tree.

Your freedom is close. Succumb to its glory.

How To [Be a Happy Camper]

How to be a Happy Camper:

1. Bring matches/lighter for the fire

2. Include hot dogs in your diet (or vegetarian alternative)

3. Bring extra-large marshmallows

4. Lots of drinking water, especially during hot summer Texan days

5. Bring a tent and a mattress (better & cheaper than a sleeping bag)

6. Bug spray/sunscreen are essential

7. Wear comfy shoes for hiking and other shenanigans

8.  Bring a notebook to record funny stories about rowdy armadillos, or any fleeting poetic moments you may have

9. Come with wondrous eyes

10. Have you by my side

I just came back from my first camping trip. It was awesome and I can’t wait to go back. 🙂

Promise me we’ll never feel old.

Be kind to others.

But most importantly – yourself.
