you make my soul soar: re-visited in animArt

airplane flying

you make my soul soar.

overflown with wonder and your essence,

you make my soul soar,

high,

into the big skies above.

_______

Happy Friday Eve, my dears!

I wanted to animate this particular notecard and re-visit it because I am so fond of planes and the idea of flying. I also wanted you to stop for a moment and think about a person in your life that has made your soul soar; has made you absolutely inspired and determined to go for that dream that you were hesitant about.

Was it one of your parents?

Was it a sibling?

A significant other?

A close and dear friend?

Perhaps it was a teacher  – a person with a most noble profession – that inspired you to no end to reach for the sky and know no limits to your dreams or potential.

Who’s the last person that made you feel infinite and daring to march on?

Maybe…maybe that person was yourself :).

Love always & Namaste,

Volta

Mixmaster Dreams of Texas

There’s grandeur.

There’s opulence.

And then there’s Texan highways.

These majestic structures struggle heavily under the crisp blue sky that so often sighs in awe.

Yield to the right of way of  these immense pillars of concrete.

Yield,

and

Bow.

____

Texan highways have a funny thing about them…they terrify me and also leave me in absolute awe at the same time.

I feel so small riding under the huge mixmasters, and I feel so grand when I am at the very top.

Love always & Namaste,

Volta

How To [Be a Happy Camper]

How to be a Happy Camper:

1. Bring matches/lighter for the fire

2. Include hot dogs in your diet (or vegetarian alternative)

3. Bring extra-large marshmallows

4. Lots of drinking water, especially during hot summer Texan days

5. Bring a tent and a mattress (better & cheaper than a sleeping bag)

6. Bug spray/sunscreen are essential

7. Wear comfy shoes for hiking and other shenanigans

8.  Bring a notebook to record funny stories about rowdy armadillos, or any fleeting poetic moments you may have

9. Come with wondrous eyes

10. Have you by my side

I just came back from my first camping trip. It was awesome and I can’t wait to go back. 🙂

I found purpose in movement.

Move.

Move on.

Move along.

With the sea.

Like the water, always flowing.

Move and let go.

Trust your heart and move on.

Life is like a Ferris Wheel.

Highs and lows.

Happy. Sad.

The Ferris Wheel keeps on spinning…and spinning,

as long as you are willing to go on.

And succumb to the experience of life and

see the beauty of the journey.

Honor the way and it will honor you.

Do not fear leaving behind…

…the familiar. Go forth. Explore!

Many times, personal growth can happen when we leave the familiar and dive head in into strange experiences.  It may be scary and uncomfortable, but those are usually signs that we should do it, we should go for it. The things we can learn through those experiences are priceless and can lead to some incredible self discoveries.

And the best part about this – you don’t have to leave your city(though seeing a completely different culture is also beneficial). Just go to a different part of town, go somewhere you’ve never been before, try a new activity you’ve never done before, a new food you’ve never tasted…The possibilities are endless, if only you are willing!

Go forth!

Explore!
